Official Ferris Bueller 2012 Honda CR-V Game Day Commercial (VIDEO)

Here’s the Ferris Bueller Super Bowl ad we’ve all been waiting for. Thank You, Honda. From “The Hangover” director Todd Phillips, the commercial we’ve been waiting for is more like watching an adult Matthew Broderick go about his business than a grown-up version of our hero, Ferris. But who are we to complain? At the end of the day, it’s 2+ minutes of Broderick being funny among various “Ferris Buller’s Day Off” easter eggs — all set to the classic 80s “Ohhhh yeah” song by Yello.
I’m really disappointed. What we really wanted was a remake of the movie, Ferris Bueller! DO IT movie executives! Do It Now! Share this, if you wish this were a movie trailer instead of a commercial spot!

To celebrate the launch of the all-new 2012 CR-V, Honda brought Ferris Bueller’s Day Off back in a big game commercial. We cast Matthew Broderick as himself, skipping out on a day of acting work and living it up in his all-new CR-V. Relive movie history with Honda’s fresh twist and wonderful homage to this ’80s classic.
Think you’re a true fan of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off? We hid over two dozen references to the movie throughout the commercial. Some are obvious, some are VERY subtle. See how many you can find. #dayoff
