Speeding down a hill at incredible speeds on a mountain bike while trying to avoid numerous trees, plants and rocks is enough of a thrill ride for most riders, but not for these four kids from British Columbia. So in an effort to make things more entertaining, they decided to turn a trail through the forest into their own “giant sandbox.”Pretty impressive camera work as well. Not something you would expect from a bunch of bike puds.
Here is a look at them taking a ride through their extreme mountain biking masterpiece. Well done guys, well done.
April 27, 2011 - Tuscaloosa tornado damage, shot by Bill Castle of ABC 33/40 in Birmingham. Gives you a whole new perspective of just how powerful these things are. The tornado was classed as an EF-5, the most powerful.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Authorities say the fatality toll from the devastating tornadoes across the South has climbed to 337, making it the second-deadliest day for a twister outbreak in U.S. history.
The largest death toll ever was on March 18, 1925, when 747 people were killed in storms that raged through Missouri, Illinois and Indiana.
Alabama was in the path of the most destruction this time with at least 246 deaths. Authorities on Saturday raised the total number of confirmed dead in several states to 337.
The second deadliest day had been in March 1932, when 332 people died, all in Alabama.
Silly bear, thought that no one could see her...yo, contact me if you put together a video of her dancing to music, or clip in some movie sound bites...snap snap!

Our hearts go out to all the poor souls who lost their lives over in the US with these mega storms, and also their families. America poured a ton of cash into our relief funds here in Aussie and NZ recently when shit hit the fan for us, so I hope others countries return the favour.
This video footage is of the ssunami ascending from the river in Kesennuma. Indonesian workers in Japan videotaped this footage. I haven't seen this footage before...seriously, wow. I don't think a lot of us can fully grasp the devastation and basically all the severe weather we've been experiencing lately.
Tough young ladies performing some cool -- and very unusual -- physical feats.
Monique Sciberras is a 10-year-old Muay Thai kickboxer from Australia whose parents introduced her to the sport to help overcome her autism. Various versions of this training session video were picked up across the web in the past week.
9-year-old Naomi Kutin from New Jersey weighs only 88 lbs, but can squat 187 as demonstrated by this video, which has been viewed over 200,000 times this month.
There's less information about this clip other than that the young sword wielder was filmed at a Japanese workshop last May. It's one of two Japanese videos featuring female sword experts trending this week.
The best decision I ever made was to stop giving a fuck. When I realized that most commonplace desires are just constructs of society and I didn't need them to make me truly happy, I became much more satisfied with life and myself.
tl;dr I don't give a FUCK!
This is quite possibly the simplest and most Zen flowchart I've ever seen.
My favorite scene from that movie, and I might be alone on this one... is when El Guapo opens his birthday present. His men got him a fucking sweater. They live in the desert and they all pooled their money together and got him a sweater... shit makes me giggle just thinking about it.

Spider was AFK, got back, popped CC. Ant started herp-derping and complaining in general about getting ganked just in time to be saved by a nearby 85. Looks pretty standard. Written by M. Night Shimalayan. (jk)

This sighting is an amazing UFO sighting i had a few days ago while waiting for my girlfriend to return from Jönköping. The craft appeared behind the mountains close to the highway that connects Sävedalen with Göteborg at first it sound like an chopper then it made no noise at all then it stood hovering close to out apartment for about 7 minutes, it appeared just a few minutes before my girlfriend arrived that night. During that whole weekend i did not see anything strange in the skies until that night.
I have never seen something like this before.. This craft is just mind blowing it looks like a cylinder or pipe that is rotating but when i used night vision it looks like something else that is expanding and growing. I actually saw this change shape while flying towards me pretty neat to witness!
What is this?
To me there is no freaking way this is an airplane or helicopter. Is it of ET origin? I'll let you be the judge.
That was a funny looking fan belt. Can't wait for the video "Admin Discovers Problem with Search Engine" You won't believe what he finds wrong with it...
Gatling guns have been the first firearms with a firing rate close to modern machine guns. Their principle is easy: A set of rotating barrels is turned by cranking a wheel, with one barrel after the other firing a round when it is in shooting position. This makes them technically and legally a repeating gun, not a full auto one - but it is close enough.
The Slingshot Channel took the challenge to design a rubber powered version of Mr. Gatling's great invention. And here it is: Eight 20 mm balls, on their way to the target in less than half a second. The theoretical firing rate is 960 rounds per minute, slightly faster than the popular M16 assault rifle.
The video also shows how you can fire single shots with the weapon.
A presentation brought to you by The Slingshot Channel!

It was a tragedy only for humans. Nature has reclaimed the evacuated area: trees, plants, wildflowers are flourishing, bees are buzzing, butterflies fluttering, and larger wild animals have found new living space and not being hunted anymore, have increased in numbers.
The video is well narrated and the images beautiful and intriguing, with odd superposition of abandoned human structures and artifacts being overgrown.
The parrot’s previous owner was a woman who spent a lot of time on the telephone. Ken discovered that when he [the bird] is alone, he’ll occasionally give a slam-dunk rendition of her phone persona, presumably acquired just by listening to her. Ken snuck up on him to record this one-minute version.
Scientists at UC San Diego's California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Calit2) have equipped a robot modeled after the famed theoretical physicist with specialized software that allows it to interact with humans in a relatively natural, conversational way. The so-called "Einstein Robot," which was designed by Hanson Robotics of Dallas, Texas, recognizes a number of human facial expressions and can respond accordingly, making it an unparalleled tool for understanding how both robots and humans perceive emotion, as well as a potential platform for teaching, entertainment, fine arts and even cognitive therapy.

St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Lambert-St. Louis International Airport officials released surveillance video that shows debris swirling inside the airport as workers and passengers run to take cover when the EF4 tornado hit on Friday night.
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office has since released surveillance video of the gun battle, which took place at a strip-mall business where patrons can take advantage of a loophole in state law about sweepstakes games and play casino-style games after buying Internet time.
The video shows Bryant and the other man entering the building. They immediately become involved in a conflict with a security guard.
Gunfire erupts, and the security guard fires a round and that strikes Bryant in the back as he heads for the door to exit the business.
Before leaving the scene in an older-model tan Oldsmobile, one of the robbers fires several gunshots into the business.
The Seminole Sheriff's Office said one of its investigators saw the vehicle and tried to stop it, but the driver sped off.
Shortly afterward, deputies said the vehicle arrived at a Value Inn on Clarcona-Ocoee Road near U.S. Highway 441, where the two other men inside the vehicle left Bryant's body.
Orange County deputies chased two men in the car, but the men fled in the vehicle — which deputies later determined was stolen — into the Pine Hills area of west Orange and ran away on foot.
The Orange County Sheriff's Office used K-9 units to try to track the two men, who remained at large Tuesday.
Bryant, meanwhile, was declared dead at a hospital.
He was on probation for robbery, according to the Seminole sheriff's office. Public records also show that he was arrested as a juvenile on charges including resisting an officer without violence, vehicle theft and robbery with a firearm. He also has been charged as an adult, including a December 2009 arrest for escape.
Details of that arrest were not immediately available Tuesday.

UPDATE: McDonald's Attack Victim Speaks Out (VIDEO)
Description: Transgender woman called attack a 'hate crime' and has been afraid to be seen in public.
UPDATE: Equality Maryland said the victim is a transgender woman and called on state Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler to step in and investigate the case as a hate crime. Police and prosecutors said they did not know whether the victim is a transgender woman.
"It does appear that the victim was a transgender woman, and she was brutalized while people stood by and watched," said Lisa Polyak, vice president of the board of directors for Equality Maryland, an advocacy organization that fought unsuccessfully in the past legislative session for greater protections for transgender individuals. "There's no excuse for that violence under any circumstances, but we would encourage police to investigate as a hate crime."
The police report does not provide a motive, but quotes one of the suspects saying that the fight was "over using a bathroom."
EDIT: The attack occurred April 18 in the 6300 block of Kenwood Ave., in Rosedale, county police said. Police said a 14-year-old girl had been charged as a juvenile, while charges were pending against an 18-year-old woman. Police said the incident "remains under investigation and the state's attorney's office is reviewing the case." Read more updates on this story from The Baltimore Sun
EDIT: Heres Mcdonald's statement of this incident:
" Our Concern Regarding the Baltimore Incident We are shocked by the video from a Baltimore franchised restaurant showing an assault. This incident is unacceptable, disturbing and troubling. McDonald’s strives to be a safe, welcoming environment for everyone who visits. Nothing is more important to us than the safety of customers and employees in our restaurants. We are working with the franchisee and the local authorities to investigate this matter"
Bryan Preston of The PJ Tatler sums it up the best: http://pajamasmedia.com/tatler/2011/04/22/nearly-everyone-in-this-video-is-a-criminal-or-an-accessory-to-a-crime/
ORIGINAL:
Here is another fine example of the trend of violence in fast food restaurants. Two black females beating the hell out of a white patron, while several black employees stand by and watch. One black male manages to provide the facade of assistance to the white victim in this brutal attack.
The two black females exit, then re-enter the store to continue the beating, until a an older white woman attempts to stop them from dragging the white victim outside into the parking lot. note: the black male employees have disappeared from camera view, even though they are plenty well capable of stopping the attack.
At the end, the white victim is beaten until she has a seizure, at which point the camera operator warns the black female attackers to flee, because the police are on the way. Note: he makes sure to repeatedly tell the criminal attackers to flee, instead of keeping them there for the police to apprehend.
Contact your local authorities if you have any information in regards to this horrible crime.
Hours after Real Madrid finally got their hands on the coveted Copa del Rey trophy they let it slip through their fingers and fall under the wheels of their open-top bus.
Madrid were parading the 15kg (33lb) silverware in front of thousands of euphoric fans at the iconic Cibeles fountain in the Spanish capital when World Cup-winning defender Sergio Ramos accidentally dropped it as he waved to the crowd.
Video footage captured the moment the Cup slipped from his grasp, tumbling to the ground before being run over.
Police rushed to retrieve the crushed trophy and gave it to the bus driver but it was not displayed to the public again. via: news.sky.com

26-year-old single mom looking forward to doing the 'little things' again.
Six-and-a-half weeks after receiving the first hand transplant in the western United States, Emily Fennell is becoming so accustomed to her new right hand that she barely remembers when she didn't have one.
The 26-year-old from Yuba City, Calif., underwent transplant surgery at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, a 14-hour procedure that began just before midnight on March 4 and concluded at 2:30 p.m. the next day.
"It has been surreal to see that I have a hand again, and be able to wiggle my fingers. My 6-year-old daughter has never seen me with a hand," said Fennell, a single mother. "She looked at it, touched it and said it was 'cool.' "
Fennell was discharged from the hospital April 8 and will continue to stay near UCLA for two months for monitoring and occupational therapy.
"The patient's recovery from the procedure has gone extremely well, both psychologically and physically," said Dr. Kodi Azari, surgical director of the UCLA Hand Transplantation Program and an associate professor of orthopaedic surgery and plastic surgery.
"She is making the emotional transition from calling it 'the' hand to 'my' hand," Azari said. "From a surgical standpoint, we achieved a good connection of the nerves and blood vessels, and the balance between the palm and back-of-the-hand tendons appears to be pristine."

Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren and Terry Crews attend the ringing of the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on August 19, 2010 in New York City.
The "Expendables" star Terry Crews showed off his ripped and raw physique today August 19, in the New York City Stock Exchange. The sitcom actor turned action star came to ring the opening bell, along with co-stars and veteran actors Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone and Dolph Lundgren.
The Expendables opened in the number one spot this past weekend, reeling in just about $35 million dollars. And we hear that there is a sequal in the works! We'd love to see what he might take off next.

This is from Indiana Outdoor Adventures, preview from season 2, episode on Silver Carp.
It's been said that a couple companies have set up shop to harvest and process invasive carp into fish pattys for sale. Mostly to prisons. Can't they use them for cat food, or fish meal? I know it's not Albacore but do cats give a damn? I'm no biologist but I have an inkling that these things are devastating the natural harmony of that ecosystem. Eating everything in site (for example: baby ducks, tadpoles, frogs, other small fish, small crustaceans) like I said, everything.

Anneliese Michel (September 21, 1952 - July 1, 1976) was a German Catholic woman who was said to be possessed by demons and subsequently underwent an exorcism. Two motion pictures, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Requiem are loosely based on Anneliese's story.
Anneliese experienced what is recognized by medical professionals as severe psychiatric disturbances from the age of 16 to her death, at age 23, as a direct or indirect result of an exorcism ritual. Both priests who performed the exorcism and Anneliese's parents were convicted of negligent homicide. The Roman Catholic Church, which had authorized the exorcism, reversed its position and declared Anneliese Michel a case of mental illness.
Many people believe she was genuinely possessed by demons, and her grave-site is a destination for pilgrims to this day.
