Kid Becomes Expert At Playing With Two Balls Between His Legs (VIDEO)

Bouncing different size balls at different speeds, that's a tough act and he does it like it's nothing. I'm very impressed and wish him lots of success. He could be a great drum player if he likes music. Very talented kid. A combination of talent and a LOT of practice, the kid is pretty good, full marks to the father for pushing him in the direction that he saw the kid had a talent in, hope someone picks him up for a good team when he gets older.

Kobe Bryant may have finally met his match, and we are not talking about LeBron James here. In fact, we are not talking about any NBA player. Not even any college player. Instead, we are referring to 12-year-old Jordan McCabe of Seattle, who recently put on a show for the KOMO 4 News Station.

During a hard-court demonstration, Jordan talked about his dad’s emphasis on fundamentals at an early age and how once he mastered these basics of the game, he was then able to get creative with them. And thanks to hours of practice, Jordan can now be considered a magician with the ball in his hands.

Here is a clip of Jordan dipping into his bag of tricks for the people at KOMO 4.

Utah Couple Recently Engaged December 24th Are Killed In An Off-Roading Accident December 25th (VIDEO)

UTAH COUNTY, Utah — A Utah County couple last seen on Christmas was found dead Monday in the mountains above Alpine.

Micah Glenn Huggard, 26, of American Fork, and his fiancee, Kassi Kyoung-Hee Kim, 27, were last seen on December 25 when they left to go off-roading in the mountains above Alpine. Their vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, was found in the Hog Hollow Trail area and had apparently fallen about 200 feet. Kyoung-Hee's body was found outside the vehicle.

"The vehicle crashed, then it rolled multiple times down the hill and it's about 200 feet down a very steep enbankment.," said Sgt. Spencer Cannon of the Utah County Sheriiff's office.

Cannon, a long-time friend of Huggard's, said a search and rescue team was called Sunday night after no one had heard from either party in 24 hours.

Huggard and Kim became engaged to be married on December 24.

"They'd been dating for about a year - a very happy couple. Real friendly, people loved being around them," Cannon said of Huggard and Kyoung-Hee.

Monday would have been Kim's 27th birthday.

Terrorist Blast During Christmas Day Mass at Church Injures Many in Southern Philippines (PHOTOS)

Explosion goes off during Christmas Day Mass. Police say an improvised explosive device tore off the roof.

Bomb blast in Philippine police chapel wounds 11
    Update (AP)
MANILA, Philippines (AP) — A bomb exploded during Christmas Day Mass at a chapel inside a police camp in the volatile southern Philippines, wounding a priest and 10 churchgoers, officials said Saturday.

The improvised explosive was hidden in a ventilation window close to the ceiling of the chapel, which is located inside a police camp in Jolo town on Jolo Island, a stronghold of al-Qaida-linked militants, Sulu provincial police said.

Six of the wounded were brought to a nearby government hospital, and four others were sent to a Philippine marines hospital, police said. One did not need hospital treatment. None of the injuries was life threatening and everyone was later sent home, except for a woman who was under observation, according to police.

The Rev. Romeo Villanueva, 72, said a newly ordained priest, the Rev. Ricky Bacoldol, who was assisting him, was thrown off his feet by the impact of the blast and suffered a slight leg injury.

"I was reading the Gospel. I was not yet finished when there was a loud explosion," Villanueva told The Associated Press by telephone.

He said the roof over the front of the church collapsed and wooden beams and other debris flew in all directions. The organist was spared from harm when a portion of the ceiling shielded him from the blast, Villanueva said.

There were about 50 people inside the church but many more were coming in at the time, he said.
According to investigators, the explosive device appeared to have been placed inside a black plastic bag and may have been detonated through a cell phone, parts of which were recovered at the scene.

The Philippines is predominantly Catholic, but Christians are a minority on Jolo and nearby island provinces.

President Benigno Aquino III's spokesman, Edwin Lacierda, condemned Saturday's bombing, saying it "violates the basic tenets of respect and peace of all who hold their faith dear." He said there could be no religious or political justification for the attack.

It wasn't immediately clear who was responsible. Similar bomb attacks in the majority Muslim island province have been blamed on Abu Sayyaf guerrillas, who have gained notoriety for high-profile kidnappings and beheadings.

The military estimates that battle setbacks, arrests and surrenders have reduced the group's strength to more than 300 from more than 1,000 guerrillas during its heyday in 2000.

The Abu Sayyaf is on a U.S. list of terrorist organizations and is suspected of having received funds and training from al-Qaida.
Christmas church bombing in Philippines wounds six
    (AFP) – 5 hours ago
ZAMBOANGA, Philippines — Six people were wounded Saturday when a bomb went off in a church during Christmas mass on a southern Philippine island known as a hotbed of Islamic extremism, the military said.

Military spokesman Lieutenant Randolph Cabangbang said the Abu Sayyaf, a local Muslim militant group linked to the Al-Qaeda network, may have been behind the attack on the church in a police camp on Jolo island.

"There is a possibility that this could be the handiwork of the Abu Sayyaf because they have been perpetrating similar attacks against the Catholic church," Cabangbang said.

"The explosion occurred at around 7:15 in the morning while the mass was going on. Six people were slightly wounded in the explosion," he said.

Among those wounded was the priest officiating the mass, he added.

Regional police director Chief Superintendent Felicisimo Khu said the bomb was a small device that went off near the altar. He said the bomb caused so few injuries because it contained no shrapnel.

Police investigators were searching the site for clues as to who might be behind the blast, Cabangbang said.

He added that besides the Abu Sayyaf, other possible suspects included individuals acting on a personal grudge.

Security has been tightened in the mostly-Muslim island of Jolo in the wake of the blast.
The Abu Sayyaf, a gang of self-styled Islamic militants founded in the 1990s with seed money from Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network, has long used Jolo as a base, carrying out kidnappings and bombings.

It is believed to have carried out the worst militant attacks in the Philippines including the bombing of a passenger ferry in Manila Bay that killed more than 100 people in 2004.

It has also kidnapped many foreigners and Filipino Christians, including priests and nuns, often hiding them in the jungles of Jolo and other southern islands.

US forces have been deployed in the southern Philippines since 2002 to train local troops in hunting down the Abu Sayyaf.

A roadside bomb believed planted by the Abu Sayyaf killed two US soldiers on Jolo in September last year.
The improvised explosive was hidden in the ceiling of the chapel, which is located inside a police camp.

A-10 Thunderbolt II In Flight (VIDEO)

The A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic in the early 1970s. The A-10 was designed for a United States Air Force requirement to provide close air support (CAS) for ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets with a limited air interdiction capability. It is the first U.S. Air Force aircraft designed exclusively for close air support.

The A-10 was designed around the GAU-8 Avenger, a heavy automatic cannon which forms the aircraft's primary armament. The aircraft's hull incorporates over 1,200 pounds (540 kg) of armor and was designed with survivability as a priority, with protective measures in place which enable the aircraft to continue flying even after taking significant damage.

The A-10's official name comes from the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt of World War II, a fighter that was particularly effective at close air support. The A-10 is more commonly known by its nickname "Warthog" or simply "Hog".[4] As a secondary mission, it provides airborne forward air control, guiding other aircraft against ground targets. A-10s used primarily in this role are designated OA-10.[5] The A-10 is expected to be replaced in 2028 or later. via Wikipedia

NY Jets NFL Player Shaun Ellis Sued By Seahawks Fan For This Snowball Incident (VIDEO)

The infamous snowball incident went down in 2008 -- after the Jets lost to the Seahawks ... and were subsequently eliminated from the playoffs.

According to the lawsuit, Ellis was bitter about the defeat ... and as he walked off the field, he "stopped, picked up a large block or chunk or packed snow ... and threw it into the crowd" ... striking a man named Robert Larson.

In the suit, Larson -- a Seahawks season ticket holder -- claims he had been waving a pro-Seahawks sign ... which made him a perfect snowball target.

Larson claims Ellis said the snowball toss was "all in fun" -- but Larson says he was seriously messed up in the incident ... and has suffered physical injury, humiliation, mental distress, pain and wage loss.

No word on how much cash Larson is looking to rake in.

FBI Releases Preliminary Semiannual Crime Statistics for 2010

According to the FBI's Preliminary Semiannual Uniform Crime Report released today, the nation experienced a 6.2 percent decrease in the number of violent crimes and a 2.8 percent decline in the number of property crimes from January to June 2010, when compared with data from the same time period in the prior year. The report is based on information from more than 12,000 law enforcement agencies that submitted three to six comparable months of data to the FBI during the first six months of both 2009 and 2010.

Preliminary figures indicate that, as a whole, law enforcement agencies throughout the Nation reported a decrease of 6.2 percent in the number of violent crimes brought to their attention for the first 6 months of 2010 when compared with figures reported for the same time in 2009. The violent crime category includes murder, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. The number of property crimes in the United States from January to June of 2010 decreased 2.8 percent when compared with data from the same time period in 2009. Property crimes include burglary, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle theft. Arson is also a property crime, but data for arson are not included in property crime totals. Figures for 2010 indicate that arson decreased 14.6 percent when compared to 2009 figures from the same time period.

    Violent Crime

From January to June 2010, all four of the offense types in the violent crime category declined nationwide when compared with data for the same time period in 2009. Robbery fell 10.7 percent, murder was down 7.1 percent, forcible rape declined 6.2 percent, and aggravated assault decreased 3.9 percent.

Violent crime declined in all city groups, with the largest decrease, 8.3 percent, in cities with populations of 500,000 to 999,999 persons. Violent crime was also down in both nonmetropolitan and metropolitan counties, with declines of 7.6 percent and 6.2 percent, respectively.

For the six-month comparison period, violent crime fell in all four regions of the nation: 7.8 percent in the South, 7.2 percent in both the Midwest and the West, and 0.2 percent in the Northeast. The Northeast was the only region to experience an increase in murders, 5.7 percent. Murder declined in the other three regions—12.0 percent in the South, 7.1 percent in the West, and 6.3 percent in the Midwest.
    Property Crime

Property crime was down 2.8 percent nationwide for the first six months of 2010 compared with data for the same months of 2009. Motor vehicle theft dropped 9.7 percent, larceny-theft fell 2.3 percent, and burglary decreased 1.4 percent.

Property crime declined in all four regions, with a 3.6 percent decrease in the South, a 3.1 percent decrease in the West, a 2.5 decrease in the Midwest, and a 0.2 percent decrease in the Northeast.

Cities with 500,000 to 999,999 inhabitants experienced a 4.8 percent drop in property crime. In nonmetropolitan counties, property crime increased 1.0 percent, but it decreased 2.4 percent in metropolitan counties.
    Arson

Arson offenses, which are tracked separately from other property crimes, decreased 14.6 percent nationwide. By population group, the largest decline in the number of arson offenses (17.2 percent) was in cities with populations of 50,000 to 99,999 residents. Arson also fell in metropolitan counties by 21.6 percent and in nonmetropolitan counties by 19.4 percent. Law enforcement agencies in all four regions reported fewer arsons, including declines of 17.6 percent in the West, 14.3 percent in the South, 12.6 percent in the Midwest, and 10.2 percent in the Northeast.

Note: Caution against Ranking—When the FBI publishes crime data in its Uniform Crime Reports throughout the year, some entities use the figures to compile rankings of cities and counties. These rough rankings provide no insight into the numerous variables that mold crime in a particular town, city, county, state, tribal area, or region. Consequently, they lead to simplistic and/or incomplete analyses that often create misleading perceptions adversely affecting communities and their residents. Valid assessments are possible only with careful study and analysis of the range of unique conditions affecting each local law enforcement jurisdiction. The data user is, therefore, cautioned against comparing statistical data of individual reporting units from cities, metropolitan areas, states, or colleges or universities solely on the basis of their population coverage or student enrollment.

The complete Preliminary Semiannual Uniform Crime Report, January to June 2010, is available exclusively at http://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/crimestats.

Two Deer Rescued From Frozen River (VIDEO)

Two icebound deer were rescued Friday in dramatic fashion, one with the draft of a low-hovering helicopter, the second by a man who went onto the ice and forced the animal to shore, with the help of a second man.

As spectators watched in awe, a white helicopter hovered above the ice and literally blew the animal back to shore, about a football field's distance.

The copter, however, could do nothing for the second deer, which refused to budge.

Observers were even more stunned when a man armed with nothing more than a stick walked out onto the ice and began driving the deer back to shore. Once the animal came closer, a member of the local water ski club, which had been considering a rescue of its own, helped pull the animal to land, using a rope.

The first deer, the one driven by the copter, made it through guard rail along the Great River Road and loped haphazardly into nearby woods and was lost to sight. People stopped traffic along the highway to make sure it was not hurt.

The second deer was carried by people up the shoreline rocks and over the guard rail and was set down near the bluffside shoulder. It hobbled for a distance but laid back down and was being examined.

Shortly after the rescue, a hover boat appeared on the ice as yet another person showed up to help with a rescue. That boat, however, was not needed.

Earlier in the day, the deer were about 100 yards from shore and appear to have moved further apart from each other. The previous morning, the pair was huddled close together as they would stand up, slip and fall back to the ice, unable to get real footing.

As they did on Thursday, drivers continually pulled off the Great River Road, near Stanka Lane, to watch the plight of the creatures.

The trouble, conservation officials said previously, was that any rescue could be more dangerous to the humans who would attempt it.

No boats generally go through that area, which is between the shoreline and an island in the Mississippi. The actual river channel is beyond the island.

Hernando County Detention Sergeant Fired After Hitting Inmate (VIDEO)

A Hernando County detention sergeant hired four months ago is out of a job after he was caught hitting an inmate in the face on the jail’s security camera.

At 6:34 Tuesday morning, former Detention Sergeant David Dixon was working at the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, occupying the booking section of the jail.

Inmate Brian McCormack, who was booked earlier for Obstruction without Violence, was holding his bed roll, in the process of being moved to a housing unit when Dixon struck him in the face with an opened hand.

The victim, who hadn’t provoked the incident, was seen standing still on camera footage, holding his bedding when the attack occurred.

On Thursday, Dixon was arrested by the Pasco County Warrant Detectives at his home. Before he was taken to Pasco County Jail, Dixon, who was hired August 8, was served with a termination letter.

Dixon was charged with battery and had a bond of $500.

    He has since bonded out.
