Rihanna to testify in Chris Brown hearing...yay!

Rihanna's lawyer, Donald Etra, says Rihanna -- whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty -- has cleared her schedule to comply with a subpoena and that she will be called upon as a witness at next month's hearing.

Chris Brown previously said he hoped to resolve the case without public testimony. The judge says the leak of the photo showing Rihanna with a bloodied face won't hinder the prosecution. If you have already forgotten - Chris Brown allegedly attacked Rihanna after she found a text from another woman. He faces two felony counts of assault and making criminal threats stemming from the incident.

Check out the Warrant and Sworn Affidavit ... Los Angeles Chriminal Court Judge Patricia Schnegg has set a hearing for June 22, 2009.

This was a really good outlook for today... for some reason, Joel Osteen's message - usually catch his word on random days, but every time it always strikes a chord. Just like every time I go to Destiny (in Atlanta) their message is always right on the money. I miss it.

Amazon Press Event on Wednesday: See You and the Bigger Kindle Then... [Engadget]

 

 

 

Looks like the rumor of a new larger Kindle is true. Amazon just sent us an invitation to a press conference scheduled for Wednesday, May 6 at 10:30am ET. You know what Amazon does at press events? It launches new Kindles!

P.S. As noted by Peter Kafka over at All Things Digital, the location of the Amazon event -- Pace University -- is the historic, 19th century HQ to the New York Times who is said to be partnering with Amazon on the larger Kindle. That makes for a perfect symbolic bridge from old to new media. We'll have to wait and see if newspaper subscribers can be lured across.
